BOOK REVIEW: Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Shatter Me

Summary from Goodreads:

No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal, but The Reestablishment has plans for her. Plans to use her as a weapon. But Juliette has plans of her own. After a lifetime without freedom, she's finally discovering a strength to fight back for the very first time—and to find a future with the one boy she thought she'd lost forever.

MY THOUGHTS:

I have so much to say about this book that it left me speechless.

It's like reading hunger games but so much better.

AMAZING. BITTERSWEET. HEARTBREAKING.

It was so beautifully written that it was heartbreaking. Imagine being overjoyed that you can't help but get teary-eyed - I don't know but that is what "shatter me" did to me.

I was really moved by this book, I can't help but be one with the characters - Juliette and Adam, especially Juliette, her angst and her pains. I know they're only fictional characters but I did learn something from them. Despite what they had both gone through, when they have every right to condemn humanity - their compassion is what prevailed, their hope for humanity. I love how they stood for what they believed in.

Another one of those book hangovers, I know "shatter me" would be staying with me for quite awhile. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS BOOK. I can't wait for the sequel.

RATING: 5/5

  1. You need to think summore; think bout what o'er-the-Hillary will do when she brings in countless more Mooslims into our already stressed kuntry so FULLA sin. True, not all Mooslims are jihadists (holy war)... yet, a few of em are. Do you reeeeelly want THEM to rape you and sodimize you then slaughter you? Arent we a free country without Sharia law? Better gitt yer head outta the sand and peer around; the world's not as safe as it once was withe coming of the Warning any day. You may call me a nut which is fine... yet, at least I know where Im going, Seventh-Heaven, while most of U.S. have a 'laissez-faire' attitude (meaning they dont give a #!!@☆ where till the last moment - in context, of course).

Better start on your faith journey, dear. NOW. Or else I fear for thy soul which is indelible. Yes, dear, we each have a soul: while our body rots in the grave at death, as what happened to my brilliant sweetheart in our OttoWeck, the soul rises up to await our final judgement.

Never fear, girl. Fear is of the sinister devil. Fear isnt of God. We are simply on a test of our lives to see where we go, Seventh-Heaven or the Abyss o'Misery. Read our blogs, girl. Cya Upstairs soon...
